SGC is a UK-registered charity that supports seven open science research sites worldwide. 

SGC brings together a global network of organizations that support and collaborate on scientific research without retaining intellectual property rights or advanced knowledge of outputs. These include funding Members (Pfizer, Amgen, Novo Nordisk, AstraZeneca, Bristol Myers Squibb, Janssen) and Technology Partners (Nuvisan, Chemspace, Vernalis) who contribute expertise and capabilities across SGC research and affiliated initiatives.

Funding Acknowledgement

The Structural Genomics Consortium (SGC) is a registered charity (no: 1097737) that receives direct member funding from Amgen Inc., Janssen Pharmaceutica NV, and Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, as well as grant funding from the Innovative Health Initiative Joint Undertaking (IHI JU; LIGAND-AI, grant agreement No. 101252959), the Gates Foundation and the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

Through the IHI LIGAND-AI grant, SGC also receives financial and in-kind contributions from Pfizer Inc., AstraZeneca UK Limited, and Novo Nordisk A/S, Abcam Limited, Chemspace LLC, Enamine Germany GmbH, IBM Research Israel – Science and Technology Ltd., Nuvisan ICB GmbH, Thermo Fisher Scientific (Bremen) GmbH, The Hospital for Sick Children, and Vernalis (R&D) Limited.

SGC Policy on Overheads

SGC does not permit the use of its grant funds to pay university overheads
