Research Assistant – Chemical Biology (Molecular & Cellular Biology)

We are seeking a Research Assistant in Chemical Biology (Molecular & Cellular Biology). Reporting to the Chemical Biology & Chemical Probes Group Leader, the main responsibility of this post is to perform and develop cellular assays and model systems to study the function of disease-relevant genes and determine the cellular effects of small molecule probes using a variety of functional assays.


You will have a degree in biology or biotechnology and have demonstrable experience in cellular and molecular biology including CRISPR genome editing and protein immunoprecipitation. You must be well organized, precise and reliable in performance and reporting and have experience in basic general lab practice (cell culture, PCR, microscopy, lab instrumentation).

Salary: 
Grade 6: £29,176 - £34,804 per annum
