Trainees
Medicinal chemistry is multidisciplinary, but it builds from a strong foundation in synthetic organic chemistry. For this reason, the program will focus on students and fellows already well versed in synthetic approaches. With these skills as a base, ChemNET will offer a comprehensive training program to augment their understanding of biology, ability to apply chemistry knowledge to biological problems, professional development and entrepreneurship.
ChemNET emphasizes training at the doctoral and post-doctoral level. ChemNET trainees will be registered at one of the host institutions and will be expected to complete all Departmental requirements for a Chemistry Degree.

Here is a sample curriculum for A. PhD Students and B. Post-Doctoral Fellows. PhD students participate in ChemNET-related activities while also meeting their home department’s degree requirements. Internships are arranged after the second year to ensure completion of the candidacy examination, Bootcamp and graduate courses.
